The Firm represented Derail The Bullet Train (“DEBT”), a political committee which proposed a constitutional amendment through the citizen initiative process to repeal the high speed ground transportation provision of Article X, Section 19 of the Florida Constitution.
The Florida Supreme Court held the initiative petition complied with the single subject requirement of the Florida Constitution, and the ballot title and summary complied with the requirements of Section 101.161, F.S., and approved the amendment for placement on the ballot.
